This page is a summary of the safari I took in September. This should give you an idea of what to expect. The safari was booked through Imvelo Safari Lodges. They will handle your transportation from the airport to the camps and from one camp to the other. They will also schedule your daily activities once you are there and provide you with plenty of food and drink.
I stayed at two camps, Nehimba (elephant icon in map below) and Zambezi Sands (giraffe icon). From Zambezi Sands, I was also able to visit Victoria Falls (waterfall icon).

Part 1: Hwange National Park
Day 1: Fly into Victoria Falls Airport. You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to an Imvelo jeep to begin your safari! A large part of the drive to Nehimba was through Hwange National Park. Our first animal sighting: a giraffe!

Enjoying a braai (bbq) on the last night.

It is recommended that you receive certain vaccinations before traveling to Zimbabwe. You should make an appointment with your doctor several weeks prior to your vacation.
