Starting Point: Arco de Triunfo
The Arc de Triomf is a triumphal arch built as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair. The arch crosses over the central promenade of the Passeig de Lluís Companys, leading to the Ciutadella Park that now occupies the site of the world fair.

Directions: Take the L1 subway line to Arc de Triomf. Go right and walk on Av. de Vilanova.

Parroquia de Sant Pere de les Puelles

Directions: Take Carrer de Trafalgar. Turn left on Carrer de Lluís el Piadós.

Picasso Museum
The Museu Picasso houses one of the most extensive collections of artworks by the 20th-century Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. With 4,251 works exhibited by the painter, the museum has one of the most complete permanent collections of works. The museum is housed in five adjoining medieval palaces in Barcelona’s La Ribera. Highlights of the collection include two of his first major works, The First Communion (1896), and Science and Charity (1897). In particular, the Museu Picasso reveals Picasso’s relationship with the city of Barcelona, a relationship that was shaped in his youth and adolescence and continued until his death.
Directions: Return on Passatge Sert which turns into Carrer d’En Mònec. Turn left on Carrer de Sant Pere Més Baix. Turn right on Carrer de Jaume Giralt. Turn right on Carrer dels Carders. Turn left on Placeta d’En Marcús which turns into Carrer de Montcada.

Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar
Santa Maria del Mar is an imposing church in the Ribera district of Barcelona, built between 1329 and 1383 at the height of Aragon kingdom’s maritime and mercantile preeminence. It is an outstanding example of Catalan Gothic, with a purity and unity of style that is very unusual in large medieval buildings.

Directions: Go left on Carrer de Montcada. Turn right on Carrer dels Sombrerers. Turn left on Plaça de Santa Maria.

Parc de la Ciutadella
On the grounds of the Parc de la Ciutadella, there are several attractions: the zoo, the Catalan Parliament. The Museu d’Art Modern is situated in the building of the parliament. The Zoological Museum and the Museu de Geologia are placed in the area of the park.

Directions: Turn left on Carrer de Santa Maria which becomes Passeig del Born. Turn right on Carrer Antic de Sant Joan. Turn left on Carrer de la Ribera.
